2025 Capstone Project Presentation


2025 Intercollegiate Capstone Project Exhibition & Competition Concludes Successfully

On November 28, 2025, the 2025 Intercollegiate Joint Capstone Exhibition & Competition — Cross-Domain × Intelligence × Action—jointly organized by the Department of Information Technology and Management at Shih Chien University and the Bachelor Program in Software Engineering and Digital Creativity at Fu Jen Catholic University—successfully concluded at the International Conference Hall (B2), Library & Information Building, Shih Chien University.

A total of 29 teams from both universities participated, including 18 teams from Shih Chien University and 11 teams from Fu Jen University. Students demonstrated strong cross-domain integration abilities in information technology, management, and software creativity—showcasing innovation and technical proficiency from conceptualization to implementation.


Event Flow and Presentation Format

The event began at 9:00 AM with registration and exhibition setup in the B2 lobby. This was followed by the preliminary exhibition and judging session, during which evaluation committees A, B, and C scored the projects. The preliminary round took place from 9:00 to 11:30 AM.

After lunch, the list of finalists was announced at 12:30 PM. The final round, from 1:00 to 3:30 PM, featured project presentations and demo sessions—each team was given 5 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A. The day concluded with an awards ceremony at 4:00 PM.

A total of nine judges evaluated the final round. The Top 5 winners were awarded official placements, while remaining teams received Honorable Mention awards.

    Demonstrated impressive integration of Taiwanese (Hokkien) language audio, culture, and technology, showcasing creativity and cultural innovation.

  • 2nd Place — “Never Get Lost – MRT Indoor Navigation” (Shih Chien University)
    Presented a high-usability indoor navigation system emphasizing transportation guidance and user-centered design.

  • 3rd Place — “Hearing the Traffic Lights” (Shih Chien University)
    Developed an audio alert system to improve crosswalk safety for the visually impaired—combining computer vision with accessibility principles.

  • 4th Place — “Real or Fake? Read to Find Out” (Shih Chien University)
    Focused on misinformation detection—highly relevant to social media and public awareness.

  • 5th Place — “AI Intelligent Traffic Signal Control” (Fu Jen University)
    Addressed urban traffic optimization and smart signal management with strong application potential.


Outstanding Project Diversity

Beyond the Top 5, numerous Honorable Mention projects also demonstrated strong creativity and technological innovation—from smart HR tools and interior design simulations to health applications, veterinary assistance, AI career support, and entertainment systems. These topics spanned everyday life, health, work, design, social issues, and leisure.


Outlook

This intercollegiate capstone competition is more than a graduation requirement—it is a valuable platform for students to showcase creativity, refine practical skills, and learn through cross-institutional exchange. From language and culture, navigation, accessibility, information security, urban management, career development, to digital entertainment, the breadth of topics reflected the new generation’s technical capabilities and their deep sensitivity to social, human, and practical needs.

Moving forward, we hope to see even more teams join this cross-university, cross-disciplinary event—integrating technology and creativity to develop impactful and socially valuable projects that contribute to Taiwan’s digital innovation ecosystem.
